"My name is Ava Munro and I started volunteering with Manes for Movement in the beginning of this year. My first volunteer shift, I got the privilege of working with Reece and Patches and now I have reoccurring sessions with her. From that first day I fell in love with being a side-walker as I always left my sessions with a huge smile on my face. Seeing the patients immediately light up when being around the horses has had such a strong impact on me and my favorite part is when they give the horses a treat after each ride to show their gratitude and have special bonding time. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to make each patients day a bit better and to create bonds with each one I get to work with."
