My daughter Ava has been participating in the Manes for Movement horsemanship program for 2 years now and she absolutely loves it. Going to the barn is the highlight of her week!

I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact these intuitive animals have had on Ava. The interaction she has with the horses is therapeutic in so many ways. Since starting the program and forming a bond with the horses, Ava has found both comfort and confidence. This has lead to reduced anxiety and improved self-esteem.

Both Erin and Liz have created a structured environment that fosters a program instilling responsibility and accomplishment. This has helped Ava with her attention and problem-solving skills. Additionally, working alongside her peers has given her the opportunity to interact and develop her social skills.

I have been a huge advocate for equine-assisted therapy programs since I witnessed how the unique qualities of horses can address physical challenges. We were told at birth that Ava would probably never walk, but at the age of 5 she first started riding horses. The movement of the horse’s gait mimics the human walk, providing a natural way to develop and strengthen motor skills. It was particularly beneficial in improving her muscle tone and posture and within a year Ava was walking independently and that was 15 years ago! I hope this testimonial can provide insight into the significant benefits that working with horses can have on special needs children and adults and what an amazing place Manes for Movement is!!! Thank you for your support during the Month of Giving!
